Here we are at Roebling Road Raceway near Savannah, Georgia, where my buddies and I had the track rented for our own use.

Me & RC

My beautiful RC30 motorcycle and I go back to the fall of 1990.  I first spotted her in a crate marked VFR-750R and immediately knew I had to have her.  You see, very few of these bikes were made street-legal because Honda only needed to produce 50 examples for the public in order to qualify them for Super Bike and Endurance Racing worldwide.

Less than 300 of these bikes were imported into the U.S. and Canada.  To understand the RC30, you need to hear from a few of the world's experts.

"The RC30 is a rare jewel, meant to be displayed on racetracks for the edification of those who wish they could afford one." - Cycle Canada

"Almost to the smallest detail, the RC30 is a true replica of Honda's championship RVF TT Formula One and Endurance factory racers.  As a street bike it is barely recognizable.  - Cycle Canada

"As a rolling piece of scuptured aluminum alloy, steel, magnesium, titanium and carbon fiber, the RC30 is a museum quality specimen." - John Cooper

"I know the RC30 is real; I've ridden it and know something about its qualities.  But for me, a motorcycle this rare and expensive has to remain part of the dream world." - Bruce Reeve

Here we are south of Highlands, NC on Hwy. 28, one of my favorite roads on which to break every posted speed limit.
